How does online therapy work?

Discussions are via Teams, whatsapp image calls and/or email. Research shows that online therapy is no less effective than face-to-face therapy (see my blog). In fact, it offers several advantages:

 

Familiar surroundings

From your own familiar surroundings, we talk to each other. The presence of a familiar person in your home or a pet, can give you extra reassurance. This often makes it easier to express your emotions and discuss difficulties.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Flexibility

Even when you are travelling or living abroad, it is easy to schedule an appointment. Time differences need not be a problem. Calls can be scheduled between 08.00 and 21.00 (NL time).
