Initially, I had reservations about communicating via Skype. I always felt like you'd visit a psychologist in person (just like a doctor). Thanks to the flexibility of the internet, I was able to attend all the sessions in the comfort of my own home. I've been in therapy with Kelly for about six months. While I initially thought I had a behavioral disorder, the outcome was completely unexpected and surprising. The exercises and action plans have definitely helped me gain more insight into myself and take concrete steps. I've been in therapy with Kelly for over eight months. The first question you ask yourself... can I and do I want to bare my soul to the person I'm sitting across from? It's a prerequisite for effective treatment. From the very first moment, that concern was allayed. I clicked with Kelly immediately. I work in humanitarian aid and regularly travel abroad for long missions in remote areas. When my relationship with my boyfriend ended and I sought help from a Dutch psychologist, the online Skype sessions were ideal; they were incredibly helpful. Moreover, it was very helpful that the sessions could be scheduled flexibly, allowing me to fit them into my ever-changing schedule.
